This piece is inspired by the current mental health crisis faced by the black community. For a long time black people were suffered by the oppression of their emotions, voicing their struggles, and overall humanness. This has resulted in somewhat of a breakdown within that we collectively work to heal and work to restore the mental health of our communities.
